A former North West Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and ex-Kebbi State Commissioner, Alhaji Ibrahim Manzo, has formally resigned his membership of the party.

Naija News reports that Manzo, who previously served as Commissioner for Health, Commissioner for Agriculture, Amirul Hajj of Kebbi State, and as a deputy governorship candidate under the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), announced his resignation in a letter dated September 16, 2025.

The letter, addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Dikko Ward, Argungu Local Government Area, and copied to the local government and state chairmen, described his decision as a personal one.

“I write to formally inform you of my resignation from the PDP with immediate effect. My decision is personal and based on careful considerations. I sincerely appreciate the support, cooperation, and kindness I have enjoyed from the party, its leadership, and members during my time as a member,” Manzo stated.

He expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership at all levels, noting that his political journey within the party was marked by goodwill and collaboration.

Although he did not disclose his next political move, his exit adds to the growing list of high-profile resignations from the PDP in recent months.
