The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the appointment of Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan as the Acting Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

Her appointment, announced on Tuesday, comes barely a week after the death of the immediate past Head of Service, Mrs. Grace Adayilo.

According to a statement signed by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister, Nathan will serve in an acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.

Until her elevation, Nathan was the Permanent Secretary of the Youth Development Secretariat of the FCTA. She had also previously served as Director of Finance and Administration in the Office of the FCT Minister before becoming a Permanent Secretary.

“The appointment takes immediate effect,” the statement added.
