The United Bank for Africa (UBA) branch on Lagos Island is currently engulfed in flames.

Although the exact cause of the fire remains unclear, a video circulating on social media shows some staff members attempting to jump from the storey building to safety. In the footage, workers were seen trying to escape through the windows as the blaze spread.

As of the time of filing this report, emergency responders have yet to issue an official statement. However, efforts to contain the situation are said to be ongoing.
