Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has approved the nomination of three individuals as Commissioner-Designates.

Naija Blog reports that this was disclosed in a statement on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.

Those nominated are:

  1. Dr. Elizabeth Ebosele

  2. Hon. Christopher Ewere Okaeben

  3. Hon. Festus Odianosen Ebea

According to the statement, their names have been forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation.

🔹 About the Nominees

  • Dr. Elizabeth Onome Ebosele is a development economist and policy expert who has served as Technical Adviser on Budget & National Planning at the Federal level. She was also part of the working group for Nigeria’s Medium-Term National Development Plan (2021–2025).

  • Hon. Christopher Ewere Okaeben is a seasoned politician and ex-lawmaker who represented Oredo West Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly between 2015 and 2023. He has also served as Commissioner for Youth & Sports in the state.

  • Rt. Hon. Festus Odianosen Ebea (JP) is a former Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, community leader, and holder of the traditional title Obarisiagbon of Ubiaja.

The trio will now await confirmation by the Edo Assembly.
