The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has raised alarm over what it described as a coordinated global conspiracyinvolving Google, the BBC, and the British Government, allegedly designed to manipulate public perception and condition the international community ahead of the October 10, 2025 ruling in the trial of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, before Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja.
Manipulated Narratives, Suppression of Truth
IPOB accused Google of deliberately suppressing critical updates on Kanu’s trial, including the recent filing of a Magnitsky Sanctions lawsuit in Washington against corrupt Nigerian judges, while amplifying biased BBC Pidgin reports recycling discredited prosecution evidence. According to IPOB, this is not an act of ignorance but a calculated censorship and collusion.
Echoes of the 2021 Pre-Abduction Deception
The group likened the current information war to events in 2021 when Western-backed platforms allegedly manipulated Kanu’s identity online to facilitate his illegal abduction and extraordinary rendition from Kenya. IPOB argued that the British Government’s silence then—and its media campaign now—prove long-standing complicity in undermining justice for Biafrans.
Judicial Compromise and Western Interests
IPOB alleged that Justice Omotosho may have already been handed a “pre-written script” to justify a predetermined ruling, accusing the UK Government of aiding Nigeria in perverting the course of justice through its proxies in the media and Big Tech.
IPOB’s Stand
-
IPOB insists that Google and the BBC have crossed from journalism into criminal complicity.
-
The group warns that the October 10 ruling is being manipulated to rubber-stamp judicial fraud.
-
IPOB holds the UK Government criminally responsible for Kanu’s abduction in 2021 and its continued role in his persecution.
Call to the International Community
IPOB urged the United Nations, U.S. Congress, Human Rights Council, and global press to hold Google, the BBC, and the UK Government accountable for their alleged deception.
“The persecution of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not just a Nigerian issue; it is a global test of whether Big Tech, Western governments, and compromised media can collude with rogue regimes to bury truth and destroy freedom.”
