According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the drop was largely due to slowing food prices. On a month-to-month basis, inflation dipped by 0.74%, while food inflation slowed to 1.65%.
The report also shows year-on-year improvement compared to August 2024, when inflation stood at 32.15%.
