In the footage, the governor bowed fully and later sat on the floor while addressing the President. Others who joined the meeting also chose to sit on the floor as they spoke with Tinubu.
The gesture has triggered mixed reactions online. While some Nigerians criticized the governor for what they described as excessive reverence, others defended his action, saying Tinubu is an elder and deserving of respect.
