President Bola Tinubu on Monday swore in newly appointed Federal Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and the National Population Commission (NPC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The swearing-in ceremony took place shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which was presided over by the President. The appointments followed the confirmation of the commissioners by the National Assembly.
Among those inaugurated were two new RMAFC commissioners representing Bauchi and Kaduna states, alongside six newly appointed federal commissioners of the National Population Commission.
Following the ceremony, President Tinubu immediately chaired the Federal Executive Council meeting, the first in over two months, where members of the cabinet gathered to deliberate on key national policies and government programmes.
The inauguration of the commissioners is expected to strengthen the operations of both commissions, with the RMAFC responsible for revenue allocation and fiscal matters, while the NPC oversees population data and census-related activities across the country.
