Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has claimed that incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji is already on course for victory in the ongoing Ekiti governorship election.
Speaking with journalists shortly after casting his vote in Afao-Ekiti on Saturday, Fayose stated that the political atmosphere in the state and what he described as the “body language” of voters suggested strong support for the governor. He went on to predict what he called an overwhelming victory for Oyebanji. (PM News Nigeria)
However, it is important to note that this remains Fayose’s personal assessment and not an official election result. As of the time of this report, the election process is still ongoing and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not released the official results of the governorship poll. Citizens and observers are advised to await official announcements from electoral authorities as vote counting and collation continue across the state.
