Alleged Electoral Fraud Attempt Disrupted in Enugu North By-Election

Reports emerging from Opi in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State claim that security operatives, including soldiers deployed for election duty, arrested some individuals alleged to be members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the ongoing Enugu North Senatorial By-Election.

According to unverified accounts circulating on social media, the individuals were allegedly apprehended over claims of attempted electoral malpractice. However, as of the time of this report, no official statement has been released by the Nigerian Army, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), or the APC confirming the allegations or the identities of those involved.

Authorities have continued to maintain security presence across polling areas to ensure a peaceful and credible electoral process. INEC has previously assured voters of its commitment to conducting a free and fair election in the senatorial district.

This remains a developing story, and readers are advised to treat the reports with caution until official confirmation is provided by the relevant authorities.

NaijaBlog will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more verified information becomes available.
