Anambra Police Foil Alleged Attempt by 21-Year-Old Woman to Sell Newborn Baby


 The Anambra State Police Command, attached to the Oyi Divisional Headquarters, has successfully foiled an alleged attempt by a 21-year-old woman to sell her newborn baby.

According to the police, the incident occurred on Friday, June 19, following intelligence reports that led officers to intervene before the transaction could be completed.

The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken into custody for questioning, while the newborn was rescued and placed under protective care.

Police authorities stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances surrounding the case and identify any other individuals who may have been involved in the alleged crime.
