Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Abiodun Ayoyinka, popularly known as “Papa Ajasco,” was among prominent figures who gathered to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his return to Nigeria on Friday.
The President arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos after a high-profile two-day state visit to the United Kingdom.
The comic actor, known for his iconic role in the “Papa Ajasco” series, appeared in high spirits as he joined dignitaries and supporters on the tarmac to welcome the President.
Tinubu and the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, touched down at the presidential wing of the airport around 1:15 AM. They were received by top officials, including Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat and the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Meanwhile, the President is expected to remain in Lagos for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
