INEC also revealed that Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) will commence in April 2026 and end in January 2027, allowing eligible Nigerians enough time to register or update their voter details.
Political parties are expected to conduct their primaries between July 1 and September 30, 2026, while submission of candidate lists will take place from October 1 to October 31, 2026. The final list of candidates is set to be published on November 15, 2026.
