“Please guys, concerning this news circulating around, it’s not true. The man is a man of integrity — he’s my pastor.
The conversation of how the whole incident happened is explained by the man himself. Please help share and repost to clear this false defamation. Thank you all.”

Attached to the post was a screen recording of a WhatsApp voice note reportedly sent by the driver, who narrated his own side of the story.

In the voice note, the driver explained that his car broke down while conveying the female passenger to her destination. According to him, while he was trying to fix the vehicle, some unidentified men approached and demanded money.

He said he told them he had no cash, prompting the passenger to transfer ₦5,000 to the men. He emphasized that no one was harmed or assaulted during the encounter.

“I didn’t do anything to hurt the lady. My car broke down, and while fixing it, some guys came asking for money. They didn’t beat anyone. The lady just sent them ₦5,000, and they left,” he said.

The video and voice recording have since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions from social media users — with some expressing sympathy for the driver and others calling for a proper investigation to verify his claims.
