The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel, David Oyedepo, has called on Christians across Nigeria to seek divine wisdom as a tool for solving the nation’s pressing challenges.
Speaking during the 40th anniversary thanksgiving service of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Oyedepo emphasized that true leadership, transformation, and national progress come not just from power, but from wisdom inspired by God.
According to him, believers possess “the mind of Christ” and therefore have the divine capacity to create lasting solutions to the problems confronting society.
“Through wisdom, kings reign and princes decree justice. Jesus is the wisdom and the power of God. We have continued to celebrate power; now, let us move forward and start celebrating wisdom,” Oyedepo declared.
He urged the Christian community to draw upon divine insight to improve their contributions to sectors such as education, healthcare, and the economy, stressing that the church must lead by example in nation-building.
“It is time to start calling down the wisdom of God to keep creating solutions to the seemingly impossible challenges of life around us,” he said.
“We need to tap into the wisdom from heaven to enhance our impact on the world. The Lord will send forth His wisdom into the church that will cause it to rule and reign in various spheres of life.”
Bishop Oyedepo, whose church has become a global Christian movement with strong influence in education and humanitarian efforts, said that embracing divine wisdom is key to achieving sustainable progress both in the church and in Nigeria at large.
