Dollar to Naira Black Market Rate Today, October 25, 2025

The naira continues to face pressure in the foreign exchange market as the U.S. dollar maintains its strength in the parallel market.

According to checks by Naija News, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, traders at the Lagos black market (popularly known as Aboki FX) exchanged the dollar at ₦1,500 for selling and ₦1,485 for buying.

This reflects the persistent scarcity of foreign currency and high demand for the dollar among importers and businesses despite the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) ongoing reforms to stabilize the naira.

However, the CBN has consistently cautioned Nigerians against patronizing the black market, emphasizing that all forex transactions should be done through authorized dealers and financial institutions.

Below is a summary of today’s exchange rates:

Dollar to Naira (USD to NGN)Black Market Rate (Aboki FX)
Buying Rate₦1,485
Selling Rate₦1,500

At the official CBN window, the naira traded within the range of ₦1,455 to ₦1,463 per dollar on Friday and is expected to remain around that band as of today.

Traders note that rates may slightly vary depending on market conditions, transaction size, and location.
