Tinubu Will Get Just 30% Votes in the North in 2027 – Zainab Galadima Warns

– NNPP Chieftain’s Daughter Predicts Toughest Battle Yet for the President

ABUJA, Nigeria – Zainab Galadima, daughter of veteran politician and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) chieftain Buba Galadima, has predicted a dismal outcome for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, particularly in the North.

Speaking on the Mic On podcast hosted by Channels TV’s Seun Okinbaloye, Zainab stated that Tinubu may only secure 30 percent or less of the northern vote in what she described as “the toughest political battle of his career.”

“It’s really bad. Tinubu may get maybe 30 percent or less. It’s going to be worse than the 2023 election,” Zainab said during the interview.

Coalition Will Make 2027 Tinubu’s Worst Election – Zainab

Zainab Galadima warned that the growing strength of the new ADC-led opposition coalition could spell serious trouble for the APC in the next general election.

“It’s going to be the toughest because this coalition, as much as I don’t understand what they are doing, but anybody that sees them knows that we need to sit up,” she stated.

Her comments come on the heels of a major realignment in the Nigerian political space, where several high-profile politicians—including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi—have begun rallying behind the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a unified platform to challenge Tinubu’s presidency.

ADC Gathers Momentum Ahead of 2027

Last week, the opposition coalition adopted the ADC as its official platform, appointing former Senate President David Mark as its interim chairman and Rauf Aregbesola as its secretary, signaling the seriousness of their 2027 ambitions.

Analysts say the coalition's strategy is to present a united front across party lines to consolidate votes from the North, South-East, and disillusioned factions of the PDP and APC.

Zainab Galadima’s forecast echoes growing concerns within the APC over Tinubu’s re-election prospects amid economic hardship, internal betrayals, and rising public discontent.
