South East’s History of voting against APC will reverse in 2027 – Pro-Tinubu group

The South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA) has declared that the traditional voting pattern of the South-East region—typically against the All Progressives Congress (APC)—will be overturned in favour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on Saturday during the inauguration and empowerment of SERHA members in the 17 local government areas of Abia State, the National Coordinator of the group, Belusochukwu Enwere, emphasized the importance of aligning with the ruling party to end years of political isolation.

“The South East cannot afford to remain in opposition again,” Enwere stated. “This zone will experience uncommon development if it becomes part of the states that deliver victory to President Tinubu.”

Enwere explained that the conventional top-down political mobilization strategy in the region had failed to yield desired results in the past. Hence, SERHA is adopting a grassroots approach to garner support for the president’s re-election bid. He added that similar launches will be carried out across other South-East states with full logistical backing.

“This approach is a game changer,” he said. “We are empowering those who are working to make what we are doing grow.”

The coordinator also praised President Tinubu’s youth-focused leadership style, saying the president has been transferring both political and economic power to Nigerian youths through strategic appointments and empowerment programmes.

Enwere charged the newly inaugurated Abia members of SERHA to begin immediate mobilization efforts to ensure that Tinubu secures overwhelming support across the region in the 2027 general election.
