Nigerian singer and rapper Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, has advised men to stay away from relationships, citing the financial burdens associated with love and marriage.
Naija News reports that the Elon Musk crooner shared his opinion on Twitter on Monday, 22nd September 2025, describing being in a relationship as a financial trap and calling marriage the “biggest financial mistake a man can make.”
He urged young men to live within their means, particularly those not from wealthy backgrounds, and encouraged celibacy as a safer financial and personal choice. Shallipopi tweeted:
"The biggest financial mistake, when you and your papa nor dey the Top 10 list of richest people in Africa you go cry bro. OS na financial mistake, Girlfriend na financial mistake, stay celibate."
In a separate report, the Kano State Police Command has arrested two men for allegedly robbing and attempting to kill Afrobeat artiste Lil Kesh in Lagos. The incident reportedly occurred on August 19, 2025, at Bera Estate, Chevron, where the suspects forced the singer to transfer ₦2,120,000 from his account.
