Oil-producing states in Nigeria shared a total of ₦781.86 billion as their 13% derivation allocation from January to June 2025, according to data from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

Delta State topped the list with ₦228.62 billion, followed by Bayelsa with ₦165.90 billion and Akwa Ibom with ₦155.68 billion. Rivers State received ₦148.68 billion, while Edo got ₦23.44 billion.

Other beneficiaries include Ondo (₦19.72 billion), Imo (₦17.82 billion), Abia (₦11.07 billion), and Anambra (₦10.93 billion).

The 13% derivation is a constitutional entitlement given to oil-producing states to compensate for environmental degradation and other impacts of crude oil exploration in their territories.
