Petroleum engineer and oil and gas analyst,Bala Zakka, has warned that Nigeria’s economy is far from healthy, describing it as suffering from “stunted growth.”

Speaking in an interview with ARISE News, Zakka said it would be dishonest for anyone to claim that the economy is performing well, noting that all major economic indicators are in decline.

“The citizens are not enjoying entitlement in any sector. The only thing Nigerians enjoy is oxygen, and if they have a way, they will lock the oxygen,” he stated.

His comments echo the growing frustration of citizens and experts alike as inflation, rising unemployment, and soaring living costs continue to weigh heavily on Nigerian households.
