Naija Blog reports that fresh concerns have emerged over the health of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), following an examination conducted by a panel of senior doctors and consultants reportedly handpicked by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN).

According to IPOB spokesperson, Comrade Emma Powerful, the examination was concluded two days ago, yet no official medical report has been made public, nor has Kanu himself been given access to the findings.

“In every high-profile case, medical reports are expected within 24 hours. Why the sudden silence? Why the unexplained delay?” Emma Powerful questioned, accusing the government of attempting to suppress or alter the findings.

The IPOB spokesperson alleged that this may be another attempt by authorities to pressure medical experts into producing “government-friendly” reports that downplay Kanu’s worsening health condition.

He stressed that transparency requires the immediate release of the medical report to Nigerians and the international community.

“The Nigerian state cannot continue to toy with human life under a cloak of secrecy. Enough of the cover-ups. Let Nigerians and the world see the report now,” Emma Powerful declared.

As of the time of filing this report, the Department of State Services (DSS) and the office of the Attorney-General are yet to respond to the allegations.
