Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in 2027 and form Nigeria’s next government.

Okonkwo, who spoke on Channels Television’s Sunrise programme on Monday, said the party is building a formidable structure nationwide under its new leadership.

Reacting to ADC’s poor showing in the August 16 by-elections, where it failed to secure any of the 16 contested seats, the actor-politician insisted the results should not define the party’s strength.

“We stand a chance in every election in Nigeria,” he said confidently.

He explained that the current leadership, under David Mark, should not be judged by contests whose primaries were concluded before they assumed office.

“That’s why I’m saying the true test of ADC will be in 2027,” Okonkwo noted.

The Nollywood veteran went further to predict outright victory for the ADC.

“We are going to form the next government in Nigeria. And send Tinubu to Bourdillon,” he declared.

On the party’s spread in Rivers State, Okonkwo confirmed former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, as the ADC leader in the state, describing him as “the obvious party head.”
