Nigerian online streamer and content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, was reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen during a livestream on Wednesday night.

Clips from the broadcast captured the unsettling moment when Peller could be heard confronting the armed men. He said: “You dey carry gun, Ogun wan kill you? Calm down jor. Na who you come dey point gun for?”

One of the alleged abductors replied, “Na me you dey follow me the tok like that? I say make you calm down, you dey follow me dey tok anyhow.”

Background noises suggested a scuffle between Peller and the gunmen, before another person present at the scene announced that the content creator had been taken away to an undisclosed location.

The gunmen’s faces were not visible in the video, leaving many details unclear.

The incident has since generated mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians questioning whether it was a staged skit, while others expressed deep concern for the streamer’s safety.

As of press time, security agencies are yet to comment on the incident.
