The Federal Government has raised concern over the growing trend of immoral “sign-out” celebrations among students in tertiary institutions and secondary schools across the country.
Speaking at an enlightenment campaign on government policies, the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, represented by the Director of Human Resources, Mrs Ayisola Olowoyo, said students often use sign-out activities to engage in immoral acts.
“The Federal Government is concerned with the growing trend of immorality among students across the country. Celebrating success is good, but turning it into immorality, exposing and touching private parts within educational institutions, is against our national values,” he stated.
He explained that the forthcoming launch of a national charter is aimed at instilling discipline and values across all sectors. The NOA boss urged parents and school administrators to take firm steps in cautioning students against such practices.
