Atlanta Mayor, Andre Dickens, has commended Fidelity Bank Plc for hosting the 2025 Fidelity Nigeria International Trade & Creative Connect (FNITCC), describing the conference as a platform that deepens Africa-Atlanta relations and drives global business collaboration.

Held over the weekend in Atlanta, Georgia, the third edition of FNITCC showcased Nigeria’s growing non-oil export sector through exhibitions, deal rooms, panel discussions, and a gala dinner.

Fidelity Bank’s Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, highlighted the bank’s vision of empowering Nigerian businesses to scale internationally. “From equipping exporters with foundational knowledge to connecting them directly with buyers, FNITCC has been a game-changer in helping diversify Nigeria’s economy away from oil,” she said.

Mayor Dickens praised the initiative, noting the shared heritage and opportunities between Atlanta and Africa. “This conference is not just about networking; it is about building lasting partnerships in trade, finance, technology, and the creative industries,” he remarked.

Also in attendance was Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who declared Lagos open for investment and proposed a sister-city partnership between Lagos and Atlanta to foster enduring trade and cultural ties.
