The Nigerian naira continued to trade weak against the United States dollar in the parallel market on Thursday, September 11, 2025, with rates remaining above ₦1,500/$1.

Checks at the Lagos black market (Aboki fx) showed that Bureau De Change (BDC) operators were buying the dollar at ₦1,520 and selling at ₦1,514.

Meanwhile, at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official window, the exchange rate stood at between ₦1,501 and ₦1,503 per dollar.

It is important to note that the CBN does not recognize transactions in the parallel market, directing individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange to approach their banks.
