The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying his administration has delivered more road infrastructure in the FCT and its satellite towns than any previous Nigerian leader.
Wike made the remarks on Friday during the commissioning of access roads to the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates in the Karsana West District of Abuja, an event marking President Tinubu’s third year in office.
Wike Backs Akpabio’s Claim On Tinubu’s Infrastructure Record
The FCT Minister also aligned with comments made by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who recently stated that Tinubu has recorded unprecedented achievements in road construction across the capital territory.
Wike said the scale of ongoing infrastructure development under the current administration is unmatched in Nigeria’s history.
"Satellite Towns Have Never Had It This Good" – Wike
According to him, communities in the satellite towns of Abuja are witnessing development they have never experienced before.
"Even if you said the whole Nigeria, you are right, but your comment centered on the FCT where you were carrying out your assignment yesterday to talk about Mr President," Wike said.
He further stressed that areas such as Karsana, which were previously underdeveloped, are now benefiting from significant government attention.
"Let anybody come out to say if the satellite towns have known governance before like this. Nobody knew about this Karsana district, but today see where we are. It’s about the provision of infrastructure," he added.
Wike urged supporters of the administration to remain confident in their claims, insisting that the government’s record would speak for itself.
The event is part of a series of infrastructure commissions lined up to showcase projects delivered under the Tinubu administration in the Federal Capital Territory.
