Major roads in parts of Oyo State were brought to a standstill as protesters took to the streets to express their frustration over the worsening security situation in the state.
The demonstrators, including residents, students, teachers, and civil society groups, blocked key routes and staged peaceful marches while demanding urgent government intervention. Reports indicate that traffic was heavily disrupted as protesters occupied major roads, carrying placards and chanting slogans calling for improved security and the rescue of abducted victims.
According to reports, the protest was triggered by growing concerns over recent kidnappings and attacks in some communities across Oyo State. Protesters urged both state and federal authorities to take immediate action to protect lives and property and restore public confidence in security agencies.
