Ekiti State voters will head to the polls on Saturday, June 20, 2026, to elect their next governor.The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed that all preparations for the election are ongoing, with over one million registered voters expected to participate.
The election will feature candidates from 13 political parties. Attention is mainly focused on incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the APC and his major challengers.
Political parties and candidates have signed a peace accord and pledged to ensure a peaceful election.
Residents across the state are being encouraged to come out and vote peacefully as security agencies and election officials complete final preparations for the poll.
