Fresh security reports show that bandit attacks and kidnappings are still affecting several communities across northern Nigeria.
In Zamfara State, dozens of villagers were reportedly abducted after being invited to a meeting said to be for peace talks with armed groups. Local authorities confirmed that many people were taken away by the bandits during the meeting.
In another incident, at least 17 farmers were killed by gunmen in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State while working on their farms. Several others were injured during the attack.
Security concerns also remain high in parts of Borno State, where the Nigerian Army recently announced the rescue of about 360 people who had been held by Boko Haram fighters.
The continued attacks have raised fresh concerns among citizens, with many Nigerians calling for stronger action against banditry, terrorism, and kidnapping across the country.
