Vice President Kashim Shettima has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday, praising his leadership style, economic reforms, and commitment to national development.
In a statement issued by the State House, Shettima described Tinubu’s leadership as visionary and courageous, noting that his Renewed Hope Agenda is repositioning Nigeria towards sustainable prosperity.
He said the administration had recorded notable economic progress within the past year, including improved GDP growth, declining inflation trends, and increased foreign direct investment.
According to the Vice President, Tinubu’s focus on infrastructure development is laying a strong foundation for long-term economic growth.
Shettima also commended the President’s willingness to take difficult decisions, stating that his approach reflects a preference for reforms over populist policies.
“History will record that you chose the path of reform over the comfort of populism,” he said.
He further described working with the President as a valuable experience, highlighting Tinubu’s balance of empathy, firmness, and pragmatic leadership.
The Vice President prayed for good health, strength, and wisdom for the President as he continues to lead the country.
Tinubu turned 74 on Saturday.
