Nollywood has been thrown into mourning following reports that popular actress and producer Allwell Ademola has reportedly died at the age of 43.
Industry sources said the actress passed away on Saturday after she allegedly suffered a heart attack at her residence before being rushed to the hospital. As of press time, official confirmation from her family or management was still being awaited.
News of her reported death has triggered an outpouring of grief across social media, with many colleagues struggling to come to terms with the development.
Actress Faithia Williams wrote on Instagram:
“Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke. Allahu Akbar… Allwell.”
Also reacting, actress Mide Martins posted:
“BLACK SATURDAY… This is not fair. May God forgive your shortcomings, Allwell.”
Actor Damola Olatunji shared a candlelight image with the caption:

However, some colleagues expressed disbelief, including Bidemi Kosoko, who wrote:

Allwell Ademola was a versatile actress, filmmaker, director, singer, and scriptwriter, widely celebrated in the Yoruba film industry for her range and creativity.
Born on August 9, 1983, in Lagos State, she hailed from a royal family in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and was the granddaughter of Justice Adetokunbo Ademola, Nigeria’s first Chief Justice.
