Woman Unties Juju Effigies of Emeka and Beatrice in Viral Nigerian Video

A young Nigerian woman has stirred social media after discovering two wooden effigies tied together and inscribed with the names Emeka and Beatrice, believed to be part of a juju ritual intended to bind the pair romantically.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) early Friday, the lady was seen untying the figures while proclaiming freedom from any form of spiritual manipulation. The clip, recorded outdoors, has since gone viral, attracting thousands of views and igniting a wave of heated debate.

While some Nigerians responded with laughter, calling it a “typical Nollywood moment,” others expressed fear and concern about the continued use of such traditional practices in matters of love.

Several users also shared personal stories of similar encounters, highlighting how beliefs in supernatural love charms — popularly known as “juju for love” — remain deeply rooted in some parts of the country.

The video continues to trend as discussions around spirituality, superstition, and modern relationships take center stage on Nigerian social media.
