The
Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has reiterated its commitment to maintaining visual order and public safety across the state as it hosted a legislative delegation from the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Environment.

The high-powered delegation, led by Honourable Shabi Rasheed Adekola, visited LASAA’s headquarters as part of its statutory oversight function, aimed at assessing the agency’s performance and compliance with regulatory standards.

During the engagement, the LASAA management team, headed by its Managing Director/CEO, Prince Fatiu Akiolu, presented detailed insights into the agency’s operations, policies, and ongoing projects designed to ensure an organized, safe, and aesthetically pleasing outdoor advertising environment across Lagos.

Prince Akiolu expressed gratitude to the visiting lawmakers for their continued support and guidance, affirming that LASAA remains steadfast in its mission to uphold best practices in outdoor advertising regulation.

“LASAA’s mission is to contribute meaningfully to the sustainable development of Lagos State’s visual environment,” he said. “We are deeply committed to ensuring that our city remains visually appealing, safe, and orderly for residents and visitors alike.”

In his remarks, Hon. Shabi Rasheed Adekola commended LASAA for its efficiency and visible impact in maintaining a cleaner, safer Lagos under Prince Akiolu’s leadership.

He emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between the legislature and government agencies, noting that such partnerships are vital for effective governance and accountability.

“We recognise LASAA’s vital role in keeping Lagos clean and safe,” Adekola said. “Our cooperation ensures that service delivery aligns perfectly with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s developmental agenda.”

The lawmaker also urged LASAA to intensify public awareness campaigns to promote compliance with signage regulations and maximize revenue generation opportunities. He further stressed the need to reassure residents about the safety and structural integrity of outdoor advertising platforms across the state.

The oversight visit ended on a positive note, reaffirming the shared commitment of both the legislature and LASAA to transparency, innovation, and sustainable urban development in Lagos State.
