First Bank leads as Amstel Malta, MTN, others join WIB trade fair partners

The 2025 edition of the
Women in Business (WIB) Trade Fair is set to be the biggest yet, as major Nigerian brands and organisations have joined forces to support the annual women-focused business event.

Leading the sponsorship lineup is First Bank, which has emerged as the headline sponsor, while Amstel Malta, MTN, Nigerian Breweries, and FIBI have all signed on as partners.

The trade fair, organised by OKADS Seafoods in collaboration with the Development Bank and SMEDAN, will take place from October 31 to November 2, 2025, at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja. The event aims to boost women entrepreneurship and contribute to the revitalisation of the Abuja economy.

Speaking ahead of the fair, the Convener and CEO of OKADS Seafoods, Ebiere Empere, said the move to the Moshood Abiola Stadium was a strategic decision to accommodate the growing interest the event has garnered over the years.

“Exhibitors are coming not just from Abuja but also from neighbouring states seeking to expand their markets and build new networks. At least 100 local market women will enjoy a 100 per cent discount for a stand to display their goods,” Empere disclosed.

Last year’s edition, held at the Old Parade Ground in Garki, was described as a “beehive of activities,” with exhibitors recording impressive sales.

Empere added that this year’s fair will feature a shopping extravaganza, village market, service centre, entertainment segment, and kiddies’ zone, ensuring a rich experience for both exhibitors and visitors.

“This year, we are not doing anything less. The attention will shift to Moshood Abiola Stadium, and we are ready to match the energy. It’s also a great opportunity for smart shoppers to buy items early before Christmas price hikes,” she said.

The 2025 WIB Trade Fair is expected to attract thousands of business owners, corporate brands, and visitors in what organisers describe as “the largest trade expo in Abuja in recent times.”
