Full Details Of Eight-count Charge Filed Against ‘Non-existent’ PFIPC DG

Adeniyi Adeyemi, convener of the disputed Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), is expected to appear before the Federal High Court in Abuja on July 27, 2027, over allegations bordering on forgery and impersonation.

According to court documents, the Nigeria Police Force filed an eight-count charge against Adeyemi and two other suspects identified only as Femi and Anu on November 27, 2025.

The police said the surnames of the two other defendants remain unknown and that they are currently at large. The charges were filed by Wisdom Madaki, a prosecuting counsel in the Directorate of Legal Services at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Police Accuse Defendants Of Forging Presidential Documents

In the charge sheet, the police alleged that Adeyemi and the other suspects forged presidential letterheaded papers and several official documents purportedly issued from the State House, Abuja.

The prosecution further claimed that the defendants forged a request for collaboration involving land requisition and office allocation across the 36 states of the federation.

Presidency Raised Alarm

The Presidency had earlier disclosed that the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, alerted the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force in October 2025.

According to the Presidency, complaints had emerged that the purported PFIPC was operating alongside the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission.

Gbajabiamila reportedly informed security agencies that forged appointment letters bearing his signature, reference numbers and official seals were allegedly being used to legitimise the agency.

Adeyemi Denies Wrongdoing

Adeyemi has denied the allegations and insisted that he would defend himself in court.
