A woman has allegedly poured boiling water on her young son in Agbarho Community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, and has sparked outrage among residents and social media users.
Human rights activist Comrade Israel Joe disclosed the development in a Facebook post on Wednesday, alleging that the woman admitted to carrying out the act because the child was “too stubborn.”
According to the activist, the boy sustained injuries from the incident and efforts are being made to ensure the matter is properly investigated.
