Fresh controversy has emerged following the killing of Ajayi Aderogba, popularly known as “Rogba,” in Esa-Oke, Osun State, as political figures and family members continue to demand a thorough investigation into the incident.
In a statement shared on social media, former federal lawmaker and politician Elijah Oluwole Oke called for accountability and urged anyone whose name has been linked to the incident to submit themselves for investigation.
According to the statement, individuals allegedly connected to the suspected killing should cooperate fully with security agencies to ensure that the truth is uncovered.
Oke also referenced an account reportedly given by the wife of the deceased, describing it as her narration of the circumstances surrounding her husband’s death. He maintained that the matter deserves a comprehensive and impartial investigation.
The killing of Rogba has continued to generate intense reactions across Osun State, with differing claims emerging regarding the motive behind the attack. While some political supporters have alleged that the incident was politically motivated, others on social media have suggested possible cult-related links. None of these claims have been officially confirmed by law enforcement authorities.
Rogba, who was reported to be an indigene of Esa-Oke and a member of the Accord Party, was said to have been killed on Tuesday evening. His death has sparked widespread outrage among residents, political supporters, and community members.
