Lagos — Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested four suspects after intercepting a truck allegedly carrying military camouflage materials and suspected illicit drugs during a routine security operation.
According to preliminary reports, the truck was stopped following intelligence-led surveillance and a stop-and-search operation along a busy route within the state. Officers discovered bundles of military-style camouflage fabric alongside substances suspected to be hard drugs concealed within the vehicle.
The suspects, all male, were taken into custody immediately for interrogation as authorities launched further investigations to determine the source and destination of the items recovered.
Police sources say the interception is part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on drug trafficking and the illegal circulation of military uniforms, which are often linked to criminal impersonation and security breaches.
The Lagos State Police Command has assured residents that the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
