The Nigerian Army has officially announced the commencement of online registration for its 91st Regular Recruits Intake (91RRI) for both tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women across the country.
According to the announcement, the recruitment portal will open on March 30, 2026, and close on May 17, 2026, giving interested applicants a limited window to complete their registration.
Who Is Eligible?
The Army outlined strict requirements for prospective candidates. Applicants must be single Nigerian citizens by birth and possess valid National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN), with matching details.
Candidates are also required to be medically, physically, and mentally fit, with no criminal record. A minimum of four credits, including English Language, obtained in not more than two sittings, is mandatory.
Trades applicants must additionally provide relevant Trade Test or City & Guild certificates.
Age requirements are set at 18–22 years for non-trades applicants, while trades applicants must not be older than 26 years. Minimum height requirements are 1.68 metres for males and 1.65 metres for females. Applicants must also present valid birth and state of origin certificates.

Applicants are advised to carefully read all requirements before proceeding, create an account using a valid email address, and accurately fill out their personal, educational, and identification details.
Candidates must upload all required documents, review their application thoroughly, and submit. After submission, applicants are expected to print their acknowledgement slip, which will be required during screening.
Screening Dates And Process
Successful applicants will be invited for screening exercises in their respective states of origin between June 9 and June 23, 2026.
During the screening, candidates must present essential documents including their photo card, parent or guardian consent form, local government certificate, police certification, and guarantor’s form.
The screening process will involve physical fitness tests, medical examinations, and document verification.
Important Warnings
The Nigerian Army cautioned applicants to beware of fraudsters, stressing that the recruitment process is completely free and does not require any payment.
It also warned that no computer-based test will be conducted, and candidates are prohibited from bringing electronic devices to screening centres.
Additionally, individuals with tattoos or body inscriptions, as well as multiple piercings, will be disqualified. Submission of fake documents will attract outright disqualification and possible prosecution.
