FCT Election: Technical failures preventing residents from voting – ADC raises alarm (VIDEO)

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly condemned the technical malfunction recorded at the Federal Staff Clinic Polling Unit in Gwarinpa, describing the incident as a clear case of voter disenfranchisement.

Reports from the polling unit indicate that several voters were unable to cast their ballots due to a malfunctioning accreditation machine. The glitch reportedly stalled the voting process, leaving many eligible citizens stranded and frustrated.

In a statement shared via its official X handle, the party stressed that elections must be conducted in a manner that is free, fair, transparent, and accessible to all Nigerians.

The ADC called on electoral authorities to urgently repair or replace the faulty machine to ensure that affected voters are able to exercise their constitutional rights without further delay.

Reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding the democratic process, the party insisted that no technical setback should be allowed to undermine the credibility of the election or suppress the will of the people.

The party also referenced a video from the polling unit showing the challenges faced by voters during the accreditation process.
