A new video has surfaced online showing the moment Nigerian music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia was arrested by Police officers in London, reigniting rumours about his alleged confrontation with his wife, Natasha Osawaru Idibia.
The footage, which has been widely circulated across social media platforms, appears to capture the singer being handcuffed and led away by law enforcement officers. This comes months after rumours first emerged claiming 2Baba was arrested following an altercation with his newly wedded wife.
In October 2025, similar reports went viral, prompting the award-winning singer to publicly debunk the claims. At the time, 2Baba clarified that he was not arrested and that his absence from a scheduled UK tour stop on October 2, 2025, was due to a medical emergency, not a domestic dispute.
Taking to Instagram then, he thanked fans who attended the concert despite his sudden withdrawal and assured them of future performances.
“First of all, I want to say everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organisers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen,” he said.
2Baba also slammed those spreading unverified stories, urging the public to fact-check information before sharing it.
“If una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This ‘allegedly’, I don tire,” he wrote in frustration.
While the newly surfaced video has again triggered speculation, neither 2Baba nor his management has issued an official statement regarding the latest clip as of the time of this report. Authorities in London are also yet to comment on the circumstances surrounding the recorded arrest.
