Social media activist VeryDarkMan has shared an audio recording of a WhatsApp call between himself and Nollywood actress Doris Ogala on his official Instagram page, sparking widespread reactions and renewed controversy.
In the audio posted publicly by VeryDarkMan, the activist accused Doris Ogala of withholding critical information and warned that her situation could worsen if she failed to fully disclose what she knew. He denied any attempt at blackmail, insisting his actions were motivated by personal loss and a long-standing effort to expose alleged wrongdoing.
VeryDarkMan disclosed that he lost his brother in February 2025, stating that the incident pushed him to speak out more forcefully. He claimed he had been raising similar allegations since 2017 and alleged that his previous attempts to expose certain individuals led to his arrest and near imprisonment on defamation charges.
According to him, Doris Ogala had earlier shared troubling details during a phone conversation, which he said prompted him to act after what he described as a strong spiritual warning that something bad might happen to her if he remained silent.
In the recording, VeryDarkMan accused some religious leaders of exploiting women and vulnerable individuals under the guise of Christianity. He specifically mentioned Prophet Jeremiah, alongside cleric Chris Okafor, alleging that such pastors manipulate women to cover up alleged atrocities. He claimed Doris Ogala was used and manipulated, not the main architect of the alleged acts, saying she was pressured with promises and inducements to carry out their bidding.
While condemning her actions, the activist maintained that Doris Ogala was more a victim of manipulation than an accomplice, adding that many other women allegedly have similar experiences but are afraid to speak out.
VeryDarkMan also addressed the Nigerian Police, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies in the audio, warning them against detaining Doris Ogala without acting on the evidence. He claimed that all sensitive materials were already in his possession and had been shared with several individuals, making them impossible to suppress.
He issued an ultimatum, demanding Doris Ogala’s release before Tuesday, warning that failure to do so would lead to the release of more evidence and a major public fallout.
The audio ended with a call for alleged victims within church communities to come forward, stressing that Doris Ogala’s case was not isolated.
As of the time of filing this report, Doris Ogala, Prophet Jeremiah, Chris Okafor, and the relevant security agencies have not released official statements. The allegations remain unverified, but the development continues to generate intense public debate online.
