In a heartfelt message on Thursday, the NANTS staff described Dr. Ukaoha as “a visionary leader, passionate advocate, and tireless defender of traders’ welfare across Africa.”
“Sir, your humility, foresight, and unrelenting pursuit of justice for traders have continued to inspire us. On behalf of all NANTS staff nationwide, we celebrate your life, your leadership, and your legacy,”
the staff said in a joint statement.
They further commended Dr. Ukaoha for his consistent advocacy in shaping Nigeria’s trade policies, strengthening regional commerce under ECOWAS, and empowering small business owners through various capacity-building programs.
“You have turned NANTS into a voice of influence and respect both within Nigeria and across the continent. Your leadership reminds us daily that great nations are built on fairness, hard work, and inclusive growth,”
the message added.
Born with a passion for economic justice, Dr. Ken Ukaoha has been instrumental in championing traders’ rights, promoting gender equality in entrepreneurship, and ensuring Nigeria’s effective participation in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) framework.
As tributes continue to pour in from partners, government agencies, and stakeholders, the NANTS family expressed gratitude for his selfless service and prayed for divine wisdom, strength, and long life to continue leading the association to greater heights.
