BREAKING NEWS: IPOB Declares Nnamdi Kanu Vindicated as Nigerian Presidency Admits Buhari's Death

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a press statement claiming that its detained leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been vindicated following recent admissions by Garba Shehu, former presidential spokesperson, that Muhammadu Buhari is dead.

In the statement signed by IPOB's spokesperson, Comrade Emma Powerful, the group recalled Kanu’s controversial declaration in 2017 that Buhari had died in a London hospital and that an impostor was paraded in his place. According to IPOB, this revelation was the reason the Nigerian government, led by late Abba Kyari and Abubakar Malami, orchestrated Operation Python Dance to eliminate Kanu.

"Now, precisely two years after Buhari's tenure ended, the truth has emerged. Nigerians are being told that Buhari is dead—just as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had warned," the statement reads.

IPOB criticized the Nigerian government for what it described as "mass deception and criminal fraud," citing the alleged impersonation of Buhari through his second term, including international engagements and the 2019 elections.

The group further called out the authorities, asking pointed questions:

  • Who signed national contracts and treaties in Buhari’s name?

  • Who re-contested in 2019?

  • Why was the truth hidden from Nigerians?

IPOB demanded accountability, declaring the episode as not just a constitutional crisis, but a national hoax of historic proportions.

"The world owes Mazi Nnamdi Kanu an apology, not just for doubting him, but for persecuting him for exposing the truth," IPOB stated.

The statement ended with a challenge to Nigerians, declaring:

"Nigeria, the mask has finally slipped. What will you do now?"

This development is already generating widespread reactions, with calls for investigations into the revelation and its implications for Nigeria’s political history.
